Dubai’s biggest night market during the month of Ramadan is back. Ramadan Night Market, now in its fifth year, promises to be bigger, more exciting and more imaginative than ever before. The 10-day shopping fiesta, scheduled from June 23 to July 2, 2016, will be held at Zaábeel Hall 4 and 5, World Trade Centre, and will be open to visitors from 8pm to 2am. A perfect opportunity to complete Eid shopping, visitors will be spoilt for choice with a wide array of products and brands from around the region, culinary delights, family entertainment, lucky draws and other irresistible offers. Organised by Sumansa Exhibitions, the entry fee of the event is AED 5 per person with free passage for children under 5 years.
“Given the massive popularity of Ramadan Night Market, I believe we can safely say that this is one of the most-awaited consumer event for Dubai residents,” said Samantha Cordeiro Miranda, Brand Manager , Ramadan Night Market at Sumansa Exhibitions, “The appeal lies in the wholesome experience that the event provides for families in particular who find few entertainment avenues during Ramadan. The fair is a great combination of a shopping experience with a bazaar-like feel which offers something for everyone from all age groups. There is shopping, deals and bargains, of course, plus food which is one of the biggest magnets, and then there are games. This year, besides increasing the variety of retailers, we’ve also upped the entertainment quotient with our new addition, a puppet show by the famous Confetti Theatre.
“During the hot summer months, parents need a place where they can take their kids to play, and the indoor Ramadan Night Market provides the perfect combo. It is easy for adults to keep an eye on their children since the Play Area is in close proximity with the shopping and food stalls, which works beautifully,” added Samantha.
Visitors can look forward to browsing through products ranging from clothing, jewellery and accessories, health and beauty products, personal care, perfumes, food, home appliances, electronics, toys and baby items, handicrafts and souvenirs and collectibles. The consumer fair also hosts travel and tourism retailers as well as medical institutions.
Other attractions at the market include a massive Food Court hosting a variety of foods from across the region and beyond, a grand Arabic themed Majlis and an exclusive henna painting section for ladies.
While parents shop, children can have a ball dabbling in a fantastic number of games in the ‘Kids Play Area’, which houses exciting activities for little ones including the ever-popular face painting, sand art, bouncy castles, nail art, mini basketball court, wall climbing, kiddie train, merry-go-round, play station, sand art, bouncy castles, clowns, balloon twisting, Arts & Crafts Area and Soft Play area among others. Activities making a comeback this year include trampoline for kids, aeroplane and train rides, mountain climbing for teens, the popular rodeo bull and many more.
This year’s fresh attraction, the Confetti Show, will run on all 10 days of the exhibition, focusing on educating children through puppetry and songs, teaching them important social behaviour, besides addressing health and fitness issues. Another engaging introduction is the magical world of bubbles, where playing with bubbles will take a new, enthralling meaning.
