Three days of music, food and fun draw give the city a needed weekend respite.
This year’s six edition of Taste of Dubai had a huge turnout with the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, the venue, filled to the rafters from Day One.
The exciting and much-awaited event drew visitors and Dubai residents alike who came with families, some even tagging along babies in wheeled carriages as well.
There was a total of 30 participating restaurants brought together to “reflect the current dining scene, while still representing Dubai favourites,” as organizers aptly put it.
Regular crowd favorites Richard Sandoval and Giorgio Locatelli were present, with debuts by Armani/Amal, Armani/Ristorante, Asado and Thiptara. There were also appearances from new restaurants like Frevo from Fairmont The Palm, Izakaya, Prime 68 and Rang Mahal from JW Marriott Marquis, and Fogo Vivo from Ocean View Hotel.
Taste of Dubai is patterned after tourism activities in various destinations around the world where food, music and entertainment are key elements for a lazy weekend break.
Taste of Dubai was first held in 2008, with 12 restaurants participating, including Rhodes Mezzanine and Indego by Vineet.
