Ahead of the Holy month of Ramadan, Fairmont Dubai has turned its hotel lobby to a masterpiece right out of the Middle Eastern fairy tale.
Featuring a gigantic flying carpet in the middle of the lobby, the centerpiece is also accompanied by an extravagant art exhibition, in collaboration with a contemporary crystal artist, Natalie Dagestani. The eye-catching five pieces of art are paying tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed and created using Swarovski crystals, pearls, glitter and various mixed media.
It took the hotel's housekeeping and engineering teams two weeks to complete the installation of this 70 kg carpet that upholds as well a colorful selection of 150 Arabic lanterns. The carpet is 4 m long, 2 m wide and is flying at an altitude of 4,5 m under the hotel's soaring atrium.
The impressive lobby centerpiece will be on display at Fairmont Dubai from 14 May – 15 June. More information: +971 4 311 8316
