PERFECTLY-TIMED FLIGHTS FOR EASY WEEKEND TRIPS TO BOTH CITIES WILL MAKE WEEKENDS AWAY EVEN EASIER
Qatar Airways today announced the addition of special weekend getaway flights, to make quick weekend trips easier for people of Doha and Dubai to visit each other's city. These new flights will be effective from 3 October, 2016.
The flights are timed to make the most of the weekend, with a Thursday afternoon departure from Doha at 15:50, arriving Dubai International Airport at 18:00 local time, and the Dubai flight leaving at 19:00, arriving in Doha at 19:10 local time. For the Saturday return, weekend revelers can depart Doha at 14:50 and arrive in Dubai at 17:00, or leave Dubai at 18:00 and arrive in Doha at 18:10.
These special weekend flights are in addition to Qatar Airways' 19 other daily flights serving Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central.
Qatar Airways Senior Vice President Commercial Middle East, Africa & Pakistan, Mr. Ehab Amin, said: "Qatar Airways has designed a flight schedule with the passengers' needs in mind, offering flight times to and from Dubai that suit their needs. In addition, we know how important weekend getaways are for people living in Doha and Dubai, so added a special flight just for their convenience. This additional flight also makes connections to destinations beyond Doha easier for people in Dubai, travelling to the Indian sub-continent and Far East.
"This additional frequency comes after launching Qatar Airways' new Dubai Premium Lounge earlier this year, which will enrich the experience of our passengers and is proof of the airline's commitment to the local market and valued UAE customers. We look forward to going places together with our customers this winter, whether it's a short hop or a longer holiday."
Qatar Airways currently offers 15 daily flights to Dubai International Airport, and four daily flights to Dubai World Central.
Qatar Airways launched the new Dubai Premium Lounge during the official opening of Dubai International Airport's Concourse D in 2016, cementing its presence in Dubai and providing passengers travelling between Qatar and the Dubai with an exclusive retreat while waiting in the ultra-modern Concourse D.
Decorated with artistic Arabic calligraphy, Mediterranean-style tiles and calming water fountains, the Dubai Premium Lounge features private family zones, shower facilities, spacious seating areas and serves fresh international cuisine.
First and Business Class passengers, as well as Privilege Club Platinum and Gold members, are encouraged to enjoy the lounge's facilities, which are set within a modern and sophisticated space for travellers to relax and rejuvenate before their journey.
Qatar Airways a multiple award-winning airline, was awarded World's Best Business Class; Best Business Class Airline Lounge and Best Airline Staff Service in the Middle East at the prestigious 2016 World Airline Awards managed by international air transport rating organisation Skytrax.
